HDC Group held the 8th workshop for the Big Transformation (BT) project with the presence of all employees of the headquarters at CGV Yongsan IPARK Mall on June 12th. Approximately 500 people attended the event, including Mong Gyu Chung, Chairman of HDC, Dae Cheol Kim, President of HDC Hyundai Development Company, Soon Ho Kwon, the Executive Director of HDC Hyundai Development Company, the CEOs of HDC Group Affiliates, and employees of HDC Hyundai Development Company.

In this workshop, participants shared the parceling-out case of the IPARK CSATLE at Byungjeom Station that had project promotion strategies, implementation methods, and detailed plans, which were completely different from the conventional style, as a successful example as it is the transitioning stage from the staff- oriented approach to the project-oriented approach after introducing the agile system for the first time in the construction industry. The merits of an agile organization were revealed in the IPARK CASTLE at Byungjeom Station, especially in terms of work speed, collaboration, and competency. Furthermore, synergy effects were enhanced by mobilizing the capacity of business and support departments.

Chairman Mong Gyu Chung said at the workshop, “The company must be changed to take advantage of organizational power and use the personal competence of employees. At the same time, employees must make constant efforts to improve personal competence.” and “Change can be achieved only when consciousness and unconsciousness are harmonized and it accompanies personal will power and changes in the surrounding environment.” He further emphasized, “Although changing ourselves is hard, we have to increase competitiveness by changing ourselves little by little before others. ”

One employee who attended the workshop said, “As I have attended eight workshops, I have been able to experience how the HDC group is constantly changing and thoroughly preparing for major changes. I hope that employees also put into practice from small tasks with the mindset of “I have to be changed first.”” and “I have high hopes because I can gradually see the results of recent changes."

Meanwhile, the HDC Group will grow as a “self-completion type organization” with an autonomous and creative culture, a “customer-oriented business” with delivering new customer values and creating more business opportunities, and a “smart company”, which works digitally by innovating the working culture.
