HDC LABS, a space AIoT platform company (CEO Kim Seong-Eun) announced on the 6th that it finished moving to its new headquarters and held a vision declaration ceremony.
HDC LABS moved its headquarters to HDC LABS Tower in Seocho-dong, Seoul, and plans to earnestly promote synergy between business fields and increase accessibility for partner companies.
At the vision declaration ceremony, HDC LABS presented three business directions – carrying out digital-based, high-value-added businesses that have future value, strengthening business links and expandability, and leading the Group to a digital transition.
For the continuous increase in corporate value, it plans to aggressively merge and acquire by discovering future growth, and it aim sto find a way to amplify the synergy between businesses. It intends to carry out core businesses through space digitalization and product optimization. Moreover, it presented a goal of reaching a company value of KRW 1 trillion by 2024 by strengthening business competitiveness through developing various specialized projects.
CEO Kim Seong-Eun of HDC LABS announced that moving the headquarters was the first step in breaking down the barriers between divisions and maximizing synergy. He stated that they will strengthen business links by combining the competencies they have and improve corporate value by fostering new projects.
HDC LABS Tower aims to innovate workspace in accordance with the changing times such as post-COVID and digital innovation. By applying smart interior design, which integrates HDC LABS’ AIoT technology, it has adopted various IoT products such as smart lights, IoT sensors, and automated blind systems. It not only provides a pleasant space for employees and a convenient integrated operation for management, but it also has the potential to save energy.
In addition, HDC LABS adopted an access control system for visitors that uses QR codes, and through operating an unmanned information desk, contact-free access is possible. HDC LABS plans to utilize HDC LABS Tower, the new headquarters that have adopted smart home and smart building technology, as a representative portfolio of the company in the future.
To flexibly respond to the change in the work environment, it adopted an autonomous seating system, arranging seats to be 70-80% of the total number of employees, putting into consideration those on business trips, those tending to outside duties, and those working from home. To improve the work environment, it prepared a Collaboration Zone where various activities such as conferences and meetings can take place.
Since last year, HDC LABS has modified all employee titles to "Manager," improving work efficiency through horizontal communication. The autonomous seating system dissipated team separation, so vigorous cooperation and quick decision-making are anticipated.
In addition, in a space for recharging and communication, "Labs Day" will be held once a month to strengthen communication between the CEO and executive & staff members.
Through the merger on December 1st of last year, HDC LABS is aggressively expanding its business field. By combining the know-how about AIoT technological capability, real estate general management, landscaping, interior design, and more, accumulated through the smart home and smart building business, it is in the process of newly innovating itself to be a space digital data platform company.
