On February 28th, Hyundai Development Company held the
"2023 Safety and Quality Management Declaration" ceremony,
emphasizing disaster prevention and quality improvement for the restoration of
trust.
The event was attended by approximately 200 individuals,
including Hyundai Development Company's CEO Choi Ik-hoon, CFO Kim Hoi-eon, CSO
Jung Ik-hee, as well as personnel from construction innovation teams and
external collaborators. During the ceremony, Hyundai Development Company
outlined its safety and quality management goals and key focus areas for the
year, while also recognizing outstanding on-site workers and collaborators.
In the field of safety and health, Hyundai Development Company pledged to establish a self-regulation prevention system at construction sites, secure the structural safety of hypothesis structures preemptively, build a SMART SAFETY system, and promote a safety and quality culture through participation and collaboration. The company's safety goals also include focusing on preventing high-risk accidents such as falls, collapses, and narrow space incidents.
Moreover, Hyundai Development Company plans to ensure the
structural safety of hypothesis structures by establishing an early-stage
structural safety review process and providing technical support for high-risk
hypothesis tasks. They will also develop a mobile-based integrated safety
platform and expand the use of smart safety equipment to build the SMART SAFETY
system. Additionally, HDC SAFETY-I Academy 2nd Generation will be operated to
spread safety and quality culture through external experts' advisory
activities.
In terms of quality, Hyundai Development Company plans to
apply a real-name quality system that involves checking key aspects step by
step at all sites. The company will establish the quality real-name system
process by selecting a core list of 29 items out of around 270 items through
importance surveys and employee surveys.
During the event, Hyundai Development Company also
inaugurated the 29th Safety and Quality Committee responsible for safety and
quality management in 2023. Awards were presented to recognize outstanding
achievements in safety and quality among on-site personnel, employees, and
collaborators over the past year.
CEO Choi Ik-hoon mentioned during the ceremony, "This
year, we need to transform to overcome challenges and prepare for the
future." He expressed hope that the resolution for safety and quality
management will result in the best quality and disaster prevention. CSO Jung
Ik-hee also emphasized the importance of safety and quality for the company's
survival and growth, and the commitment to create sustainable future value
through safety and quality competition.
