Hyundai Development Company recently delivered emergency
relief items to assist victims affected by the recent fire in Gangneung.
On the 12th, Hyundai Development Company provided emergency
relief items for Gangneung wildfire victims, including 200 sets of blankets and
pillows, to the Gangneung Volunteer Center at Gangwon Province Gangneung Ice
Arena. The provided relief items, valued at approximately 10 million KRW, are
set to be distributed to the affected individuals.
Kim Seon-jeong, Director of the Gangneung Volunteer Center,
expressed gratitude, saying, "We sincerely thank Hyundai Development
Company for promptly providing the necessary bedding to the victims who are
facing difficulties due to the recent wildfire in Gangneung." She added,
"The emergency relief items provided this time are expected to provide significant
comfort to the victims."
A representative from Hyundai Development Company stated,
"Due to the strong winds, the large wildfire has caused significant
disruption in the lives of the affected victims. We provided emergency relief
items to alleviate their discomfort and offer assistance." They further
added, "We will continue to explore additional ways to support the swift
recovery from the Gangneung wildfire."
Furthermore, since January of this year, Hyundai Development Company has been engaged in a variety of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities to fulfill its social responsibility and contribute to community well-being. These activities include delivering groceries and life bracelets to vulnerable seniors in the Gwangju area, providing firefighting equipment for Gwangju local rescue workers, donating funds and essential items for the fire victims in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, participating in Han River cleanup activities in Banpo area, and engaging in tree planting activities in the Yongsan area.
