- Expanding video recording management system to all construction sites for the prevention of safety and quality-related incidents

- Aiming for swift integration with the currently operational quality management construction site transparency system

- Striving for restoration of trust and a secure urban environment

Hyundai Development Company is expanding its video recording management system to cover all construction processes at sites nationwide, aiming to prevent safety and quality-related incidents.

Building upon the pilot program conducted over the past year, during which Seoul became the first in the nation to implement a video recording management system for construction processes exceeding 100 billion KRW in public projects, Hyundai Development Company is extending this initiative to encompass public projects under 100 billion KRW and private construction sites across the country. This expansion of the video recording management system at construction sites aims to establish a higher level of safety and quality management.

The company's goal is to integrate the "Construction Site Transparency System for Quality Management" currently in operation with the "Construction Site Video Recording Management" system, ensuring an early and seamless implementation.

Hyundai Development Company's existing quality management transparency system involves recording inspection details by floor and section through photographs, with approval from construction managers, tool depots, and site supervisors at each stage before progressing to the next construction phase. In addition to conventional CCTV cameras, Hyundai Development Company intends to use drones, mobile CCTVs, body cameras, and other technologies to expand video recording across all stages of construction, thereby enhancing safety and quality management on construction sites.

The introduction of the construction site video recording management system will depart from the conventional approach of fragmentary documentation through photos and blueprints, enabling a comprehensive recording of pre-and post-construction scenarios. This innovation is expected to facilitate prompt and accurate identification of issues, enabling swift remediation and advancing safety and quality management to a higher level. Hyundai Development Company also plans to appoint experienced staff members to manage the operation of the quality management transparency system and video recording management, tailored to the scale of each construction site.

A representative from Hyundai Development Company stated, "The newly introduced construction site video recording management system, synergizing with the quality management transparency system and the quality monitoring team, is anticipated to prevent incidents, enhance quality assurance, and enable swift response and prevention of recurrence. We are committed to restoring trust through prioritizing fundamental elements like quality and safety, while working towards establishing a secure urban environment."
